Magic Cutout

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 4, 2026

Short version: Magic Cutout is designed to process photos on your device.

We do not collect, upload, sell, share, or track personal data from the app. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or third-party analytics SDKs.

Magic Cutout is a photo editing app for background removal, transparent PNG export, ID-style and profile photo composition, resizing, local image editing, fill-light capture, and beauty/retouch tools. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information for users in the United States and other regions where the app is available.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal data from the app. Your photos, videos, cutout masks, face-area processing results, edit history, app preferences, and usage counters are processed and stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them yourself.

The app does not require an account, does not include developer-operated cloud editing, and does not send your photos or videos to developer servers for processing, training, advertising, or analytics.

2. Photos, Videos, and Editing Content

When you choose a photo or video, Magic Cutout uses it only to provide the feature you requested, such as background removal, image resizing, retouching, ID/profile photo composition, preview generation, or export.

Edited files are saved only when you choose to save or export them. If you save an edited image or video to Apple Photos, it is stored in your Photos library under Apple's system controls and your device settings.

3. Face Data and Biometric Information

Some features may use Apple on-device frameworks to temporarily detect faces, face rectangles, subject areas, segmentation masks, or similar visual regions. These temporary results help with beauty retouching, fill-light recommendations, ID/profile photo composition, subject positioning, and preview quality.

4. App Permissions

Magic Cutout asks for system permissions only when needed for app features:

You can manage these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.

5. Local Storage

The app may store settings, preferences, feature counters, purchase state, and optional local editing history on your device using Apple-provided local storage. This information is used to keep the app working as expected and is not transmitted to developer servers.

You can remove local app data by deleting the app from your device. Some exported images or videos may remain in your Photos library if you saved them there.

6. In-App Purchases

Magic Cutout Pro is an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase handled by Apple StoreKit. Apple processes payment, taxes, refunds, and transaction records. We do not receive or store your credit card number, full billing details, Apple ID password, or Apple ID credentials.

7. Support Emails

If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address and the information you choose to include in your message. We use that information only to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and maintain support records. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.

8. Third-Party SDKs, Advertising, and Tracking

Magic Cutout does not use third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, or third-party login systems. We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

9. Sharing, Sale, and Disclosure

Because we do not collect personal data from the app, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or profiling. We may disclose information only if you provide it directly to us, if needed to respond to your support request, or if required by applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

Magic Cutout is a general-audience photo utility. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through support email, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes, when our practices change, or when legal requirements change. The latest version will be available from the app and from the App Store privacy policy link.
