Short version: Weight Keeper stores your weight records on your device.
We do not collect, upload, sell, share, or track personal data from the app. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or third-party analytics SDKs.
Weight Keeper is a personal weight-tracking app for daily logging, trends, goals, reminders, optional Apple Health sync, and optional iCloud backup (Pro). This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information for users in the United States, Europe, and other regions where the app is available.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect personal data from the app. Your weight records, notes, body measurements, progress photos, badges, app preferences, and reminder settings are stored locally on your device unless you enable optional iCloud sync (Pro).
The app does not require an account and does not send your health data to developer servers for processing, advertising, or analytics.
2. Health and Weight Data
Weight entries, body fat percentages, BMI calculations, body measurements, and related notes are used only to provide charts, reports, reminders, and optional sync features you choose to enable.
If you enable Apple Health sync, weight and body composition data may be read from or written to Apple Health according to your permission choices in iOS Settings.
3. Photos
If you use progress photo comparison, photos you select are stored locally on your device within the app. They are not uploaded to developer servers.
4. App Permissions
- Photos: used when you select a profile avatar or progress photos from your library.
- Notifications: used when you enable weigh-in reminders or milestone alerts.
- Apple Health: used only when you turn on Health sync.
- iCloud: used only when you enable iCloud backup (Pro) while signed into iCloud on your device.
You can manage these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
5. Local Storage and iCloud
By default, your records remain on your device using Apple-provided local storage. If you purchase Pro and enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud account through Apple CloudKit. We do not operate a separate developer cloud database for your weight records.
You can remove local app data by deleting the app from your device.
6. In-App Purchases
Weight Keeper Pro is an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase handled by Apple StoreKit. Apple processes payment, taxes, refunds, and transaction records. We do not receive or store your credit card number or Apple ID credentials.
7. Support Emails
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use that information only to respond to your request.
8. Third-Party SDKs, Advertising, and Tracking
Weight Keeper does not use third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, or third-party login systems.
9. Children's Privacy
Weight Keeper is a general-audience health utility. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app.
10. Your Choices
- You can deny or revoke Photos, Notifications, Health, and iCloud permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can delete local app data by deleting the app.
- You can export your data using in-app export tools (Pro).
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes or when legal requirements change. The latest version will be available from the app and from the App Store privacy policy link.
